Making the Syrup: Put all the items in a pot, bring to a gentle boil, agitating to dissolve. Then, take off the stove and leave to cool down completely. Pour into an sealable bottle, cap it keeping it in the refrigerator, it will last for around one month.
For the Premix: Mix all the spirits and syrup into one big jug, allow it to infuse for one hour, then filter it preferably using cheesecloth, so it's completely strained.
When ready to serve: Pour 85ml of your cocktail base into your stirring glass packed with ice, and stir gently for one minute to chill. Filter into a cold coupe glass or equivalent, garnish with a few cranberries adding the final touch with a light spray with the mandarin essence over the top.
