Charli XCX Plays a Hell Version of Her Own Identity in Fictional Documentary Teaser
The celebrated musician is preparing for a substantial cinematic presence in 2026, beginning with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.
In the film, the artist plays what she calls as a dark version of herself.
It’s the most authentic portrayal of the music industry that I’ve ever encountered, the performer remarked.
She elaborated in a conversation: It’s not a tour documentary, yet the concept came from the demand to produce one.
An Early Look into The Moment
The initial preview, launched on this week, mixes real clips from Charli’s Sweat tour with fictionalized backstage scenes.
The mockumentary is directed and co-written by Aidan Zamiri, who shared that the narrative focuses on a world where the singer made entirely different choices during the promotion of her chart-topping release Brat.
